Wait for about a half hour until the DEW indicator goes out. T} T{ Press the EJECT button several times. T} T{ Safety device in VCR is functioning. Unplug VCR and plug in again after about one minute. T} T{ VCR does not record. T} T{ Cassette erasure protection hole is uncovered. Use a different cassette or tape over the hole. T} T{ Check if a cassette is loaded. T} T{ Casstte is automatically ejected when pressing REC, TIMER RECORD, or TIMER ON/OFF. T} T{ Erasure protection tab has been removed. Use a different cassette or adhesive tape over the tab opening. T} T{ No colour or poor TV picture on normal viewing. T} T{ Make sure all the cables are connected properly. T} T{ Plug in VCR power cord. T} T{ No tape movement. T} T{ Make sure the VCR is not in PAUSE/STILL mode. T} T{ Make sure tape has not reached the end or beginning. T} T{ Snowy picture appears on TV during playback. T} T{ Adjust the TRACKING control or try a different cassette. T} T{ The heads may be dirty from condensed moisture or the magnetic coating of the video tape. (If this is the case, the heads need to be cleaned. Ask the retailer or Sharp approved service centre.) T} T{ No picture appears during playback. T} T{ Make sure the TV is set to the same channel as the VCR RF Converter Output Channel adjuster. T} T{ Check all connecting cables. T} T{ Cassette cannot be loaded. T} T{ Make sure there is no other cassette inside. T} T{ Make sure the cassette is properly positioned and reinsert.
